Trim For Thermostatic Valve
Handle Operation - The bottom handle is used to set the temperature. The top handle is used for water diversion and volume control.Cut Out Dimensions - The cut out in wall should be 6.49 X 4.44 Inches and no more – this will ensure that the trim plate will cover the cut-out hole in the wall.Trims - The trims comprise of a well finished cover plate and handle knobs constructed in solid Brass. Over the temperature control knob, is an anti-scald temperature stop ring which is a safety feature in this thermostatic value. With the help of this ring, temperature of the water is regulated. Covering this ring is the temperature handle knob which has a push button on the side. In order to adjust the water temperature, one needs to press this button and move the handle to hot or cold direction. Without pressing it, the user will not be able to rotate the handle to the full HOT position – as an anti-scald prevention mechanism. The anti-scald temperature stop ring should be fitted tightly over the valve (tapping using a rubber mallet might be required) for it to function properly.Depending upon the shower model, trims can be of different shape and size, varying from square to circular shower handles. TO BE USED WITH PBV1005AS PRESSURE BALANCE VALVEHandle Operation - The volume and temperature of water is controlled by the single handle. Lift the handle to control the volume and as the handle is moved between left and right, the temperature changes. Move it right for cold and left for hot water.Cut Out Dimensions - The cut out in wall should be 4.60” x 4.76” Inches which is properly covered by the trim plate. This will ensure that the trim plate will cover the cut out hole in the wall.Trims - The trim set for PBV1005AS consists of a trim plate and handle knob. The trim plate has markings for HOT/COLD. An extension kit can be ordered separately in case the handles need to be extended for proper fit. Any trim ending in *2200 or *2201 can be used with this valve. The PBV1005AS – Pressure Balance shower valve has a ½” NPT male connection. It is single control valve with two inputs for hot/cold water and one output. The bottom output does not come capped and can be used with a diverting tub-spout. TO BE USED WITH PBV1005A PRESSURE BALANCE VALVEHandle Operation - The volume and temperature of water is controlled by the lower handle. Lift the lower handle to control the volume and as the handle is moved between left and right, the temperature changes. Move it right for cold and left for hot water. The diverter handle on the top helps in directing the flow from the two outputs of the valve. When diverter handle points left, the water flows through the lower output. When the diverter handle points right, the top output is activated for water flow.Trims - The trim set for PBV1005A consists of a trim plate and handle knobs for both top and bottom cartridge. The trim plate has markings for hot/cold. Extension kits for both handles can be ordered separately in case the handles need to be extended for proper fit.
