3/4" Thermostatic Valve and Trim - 2 Outputs
The TVH.4401 Thermostatic valve features 3/4" NPT connections and has 2 water outputs [ports] which are operable simultaneously, i.e. both at the same time, or one at a time. The middle handle sets the temperature. The top handle controls output port 1 and the bottom handle controls output port 2. Each port has full volume control capability and can be activated at the same time.SUPPLY STOPS – There are two safety stops at each water inlet to prevent water flow in case of installation and repairs.HANDLE OPERATION – The middle handle is used to control the temperature of water flowing through the outlet. The top handle controls the volume of water from full flow to a trickle for the output port 1. The bottom handle controls the volume of water from full flow to a trickle for the output port 2.ANTI-SCALD RING – Over the temperature control knob, is an anti-scald temperature stop ring which is a safety feature in this thermostatic value. With the help of this ring, the temperature of the water is regulated. Covering this ring is the handle knob which has a push-button on the side. To adjust the water temperature, one needs to press this button and move the handle to a hot or cold direction. Without pressing it, the user will not be able to rotate the handle to the full hot position, as an anti-scald prevention mechanism. The anti-scald temperature stop ring should be fitted tightly over the valve (tapping using a rubber mallet might be required) for it to function properly.VALVE INSTALLATION – As the valve is installed, care should be taken to maintain a proper distance from the back of the valve to the finished tile which should be between 2.77 and 3.44 inches [Rough In Spec]. Also, the value must be installed straight and not at an angle or upside down. In case, the tile is thicker, or valve installed in the wall is too deep, extension kits are available and can be used for elongating both handles of the valve.CUT OUT DIMENSIONS – The cut out in wall should be 8.81 X 4.44 Inches which is properly covered by the trim plate. This will ensure that the trim plate will cover the cut-out hole in the wall.TRIMS – The trims comprise of a well-finished cover plate and handle knobs. The trim plate is used to cover the wall. Depending upon the shower model, trims can be of different shape and size, varying from square to circular shower handles. 3-Way Diverter Shower Valve & Trim
The TVH.4371 is a 3-Way [3-output] diverter valve with shared outputs and has integrated volume control functionality. The valve has a flow rate of 8.0 GPM @ 60 PSI.Handle Operation – The handle is used to control the volume and also water diversion through the 3 outlets. The positions of the valve which activate each output port are as follows: Position 0 - No water flow Position 1 - Output 1 Active Position 2 - Output 2 Active Position 3 - Output 2 And Output 3 Active on Valve Position 4 - Output 3 Active on Valve As the valve is installed, care should be taken to maintain proper distance from the back of the valve to the surface of finished tile which should be between 2.77 Inches and 3.44 Inches. Also, the valve must be installed vertical and not at an angle. In case, a tile is thicker, or wall is deep, extensions are used for elongating both handles of the valve to ensure proper setting of the trim (length of extensions for TVH.4371 valve is 1.40 inches).Cut Out Dimensions – The cut out in wall should be 1.65 X 1.65 inches which is properly covered by the trim plate. This will ensure that the trim plate will cover the cut out hole in the wall.Trims – The trims comprise of well finished trim plate and handle knobs. The TVH.4201 is a ¾” Thermostatic valve with NPT female connections. It has two inlets with integral stop kits and single output. The valve has a flow rate of 13.0 GPM @ 60 PSI. The TVH.4201 does not have water turn off capability and thus must be used with a volume control or diverter valve.Supply Stops - There are two safety stops at each water inlet to prevent water flow in case of installation and repairs.Handle Operation - The handle is used to control temperature of water flowing through the outlet.
