Trim For Thermostatic Valve
Handle Operation - The bottom handle is used to set the temperature. The top handle is used for water diversion and volume control.Cut Out Dimensions - The cut out in wall should be 7.89 X 1.89 Inches and no more – this will ensure that the trim plate will cover the cut-out hole in the wall.Trims - The trims comprise of a well finished cover plate and handle knobs constructed in solid Brass. Over the temperature control knob, is an anti-scald temperature stop ring which is a safety feature in this thermostatic value. With the help of this ring, temperature of the water is regulated. Covering this ring is the temperature handle knob which has a push button on the side. In order to adjust the water temperature, one needs to press this button and move the handle to hot or cold direction. Without pressing it, the user will not be able to rotate the handle to the full HOT position – as an anti-scald prevention mechanism. The anti-scald temperature stop ring should be fitted tightly over the valve (tapping using a rubber mallet might be required) for it to function properly.Depending upon the shower model, trims can be of different shape and size, varying from square to circular shower handles. 3-Way Diverter Shower Valve & Trim
The TVH.4371 is a 3-Way [3-output] diverter valve with shared outputs and has integrated volume control functionality. The valve has a flow rate of 8.0 GPM @ 60 PSI.Handle Operation – The handle is used to control the volume and also water diversion through the 3 outlets. The positions of the valve which activate each output port are as follows: Position 0 - No water flow Position 1 - Output 1 Active Position 2 - Output 2 Active Position 3 - Output 2 And Output 3 Active on Valve Position 4 - Output 3 Active on Valve As the valve is installed, care should be taken to maintain proper distance from the back of the valve to the surface of finished tile which should be between 2.77 Inches and 3.44 Inches. Also, the valve must be installed vertical and not at an angle. In case, a tile is thicker, or wall is deep, extensions are used for elongating both handles of the valve to ensure proper setting of the trim (length of extensions for TVH.4371 valve is 1.40 inches).Cut Out Dimensions – The cut out in wall should be 1.65 X 1.65 inches which is properly covered by the trim plate. This will ensure that the trim plate will cover the cut out hole in the wall.Trims – The trims comprise of well finished trim plate and handle knobs. The trim plate is used to cover the wall and comes with a volume control handles. Any *4511 series trim can be used with this valve. Depending upon the shower model, trims can be of different shape and size, varying from square to circular shower handles. 3/4" Thermostatic Valve & Trim - 3 Output
The TVH.4301F Thermostatic valve features 3/4" female NPT connections and has 3 water output ports. This product meets CAL-Green Compliance. The bottom handle sets the temperature and the top handle diverts water flow between the Three output ports.Supply Stops - There are two safety stops at each water inlet to stop water flow in case of installation and repairs.Handle Operation - The bottom handle is used to control the temperature of water flowing through the outlet. The top handle can control the volume of water from full flow to a trickle as the handle is turned from OFF to ON position.As the valve is installed, care should be taken to maintain proper distance from the back of the valve to the finished tile which should be between 2.77” and 3.44” inches [Rough In Spec]. Also, the value must be installed straight and not at an angle or upside down.
